On, Friday, July 26, at 7 PM, the second of ACWC’s 2024 Concert Series presents Claudia Hoca, Amy Licata, and Matthew Prohaska for a Twin Piano and Violin Concert. The concert will feature El Salon, Mexico, by Aaron Copland, arranged for two pianos by Leonard Bernstein, and Symphonic Dances, arranged for two pianos by the composer. Special guest Amy Licata will perform William Grant Still’s Suite for violin and piano with pianist Claudia Hoca. Amy will also perform a short fiddle solo in honor of her fiddle heritage influenced by her grandfather. This concert will also unveil The Sally VanArsdale-Bliss Performing Arts Scholarship. Sally was a lifelong member of the ACWC until her passing in 2023 and was an original member of the first eight-hands twin piano concert performers over twenty years ago.
