Pieces of Perry En Plein Air Paint-Out
Perry, New York
Pieces of Perry invites artists to spend a weekend painting en plein air throughout Perry and the surrounding area. Artists of all experience levels are welcome to participate.
Artwork created during the Paint-Out will be exhibited at the Arts Council for Wyoming County following the event.
Important Dates:
End of August 2026
Artist registration opens.
September 25–27, 2026
Pieces of Perry En Plein Air Paint-Out.
November 6, 2026
Closing reception and auction.
All work needs to be dropped by the Arts Council by 4 pm to hang wet Sunday, exhibit runs from September 27th -awards and auction November 6th, 5-8 pm
REGISTRATION OPTIONS
Paint-Out Artist Registration — $20 (Tickets Below)
The $20 artist registration fee provides participation in the Pieces of Perry Paint-Out and helps fund artist prizes and awards.
Registration includes:
- Participation in the September 25–27 Paint-Out
- Official stamping of painting surfaces
- Eligibility to submit completed Pieces of Perry artwork for the exhibition
- Eligibility for Pieces of Perry prizes and awards
- Participation in the exhibition and associated sales/auction opportunities
Artists participating in Sandra Tyler’s workshop do not need to purchase this registration separately. Paint-Out registration is included with the workshop
Plein Air Watercolor Workshop with Sandra Tyler – $40 (Tickets below)
Saturday, September 26, 2026
10:00 AM–4:00 PM
Workshop Fee: $40
The workshop begins at 10:00 AM with a watercolor demonstration in the Arts Council classroom.
Following the demonstration, participants will head outside to paint en plein air and put Sandra’s techniques into practice.
At 1:00 PM, participants will have a lunch break at the Arts Council. Artists may stay at the Arts Council to eat and take a break from the weather or pick up their lunch and head back outside to continue painting.
At 4:00 PM, workshop participants will reconvene for a group critique with Sandra to review the day’s work, discuss the painting experience, and receive feedback.

Important: Anyone registered for Sandra’s workshop does not need to purchase the separate $20 Paint-Out registration. The $10 Quick Draw and $15 boxed lunch are separate optional add-ons.
WORKSHOP SUPPLY LIST
Workshop participants should arrive prepared with their own painting supplies.
- 8×8″ watercolor pad:
- Watercolors:
- A variety of watercolor brushes
- Cup and bottle for water
- Roll of toilet paper and paper towels
- None of these are necessary are all additional ideas: larger paper, water pen (), chair or stool to sit on, small folding table for supplies and or a wagon for carrying supplies.
