About IDES:
Themes for this exhibition include cutting, including away outdated thoughts surrounding fiber’s role as a fine art OR craft medium, and explores the ideas of Interwoven experiences and the ever-important Exchange of Ideas, including those surrounding community and how we communicate and choose to include or exclude.
Additional themes include throwing caution to the wind, Cavio – Beware of the Ides, Infamy or unusual use of traditional materials to create dialogue or provoke exchange, veins, threads, and fiber optics, both with respect to how things appear and with respect to embracing new technology to honor and elevate respected shared traditions.

We invite the public to view the various artists’ interpretation of these ideas and celebrate spring and new ideas and energy.
