SUMMARY:Wet Felted Small Vessel
DESCRIPTION:Learn the art of and technique of wet felting by creating a small felted vessel with Roycroft Artisan\, Suzanne O’Brien. Suzanne will take you through the step by step process of creating quality felt while you create a small version of her larger vessel types. Examples of further projects created with this technique will be brought to class. Students will leave with their completed tiny vessel and full color instructions on what was learned in class. The class fee includes: hand-on instruction and guidance\, use of instructor’s special felting tools\, superfine merino wool\, resist material\, soap\, bubble wrap\, and full-color tutorial. \nInstructor: Suzanne O’Brien\nLevel:Beginners\nAge: Adult (16+)\nCategory: Felt\nAdditional supplies needed from students: An old bath towel\, and possibly and apron to catch drippy water. I have been teaching wet-felting through Community Education in the Western New York region since 2015. My most recent classes were held at the Roycroft Campus in East Aurora\, NY\, and at Stitch Buffalo in Buffalo\,NY. I am a member of the Buffalo Knitting Guild\, the Arts and Craftsmen Guild on the Roycroft Campus\, and a juried artist of the Roycrofters-At-Large Association.
