Town Theatre of Short Tract is announces its summer 2024 production, Godspell, by Stephen Schwartz and John-Michael Tebelak, directed by Aidan Heaney!
Godspell takes the text of the Gospel according to Matthew and transplants it into our modern world by following a tight knit group of artists, led by Jesus, as they play games, tell stories, and sing songs in an imaginative reexamination of the teachings of the parables. This ensemble piece focuses on the importance of community and features unforgettable music by Stephen Schwartz, the composer of Broadway hits such as Pippin and Wicked. This uplifting and dynamic piece of theatre is bound to delight and engage audiences!
The production of Godspell will be held July 18-20 in the Fillmore Central School auditorium.
