FREECREATIVITY IN FOCUS / Community Arts Grants Seminar: Kate Elliott Rainbow Fiber Arts Project
Artist Kate Elliott will present & discuss her funded Rainbow Fiber Arts Project. She will will show and discuss creating works from rope, yarn, fabric, ribbon, and wire, most in the shape of a rainbow arch, and experimenting with different materials, such as salvaged yarn and fabric, paper, and even plastic waste.
The artist’s presentation will be followed by a Community Arts Grants seminar.

Community Arts Grants provide support to community-based organizations, groups, collectives or artists in Wyoming and Allegany counties for arts and cultural projects in their communities. Grants can fund exhibitions, performances, concerts, festivals, demonstrations and workshops, screenings, readings, and more!
New applicants, returning applicants who did not apply in 2024, or repeat applicants who will make significant changes to their projects or introduce new projects MUST ATTEND a Community Arts Grants Seminar.

These grants are made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program (SCR), a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA) with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered in Allegany and Wyoming County, NY by the Arts Council for Wyoming County. Statewide Community Regrants serve as an umbrella for three distinct funding categories: Community Arts, Arts Education and Individual Artists grants. The Arts Council for Wyoming County provides grants in all three categories for individuals and organizations in Wyoming and Allegany Counties. for more information, go to artswyco.org/grants/
Applicants are encouraged to notify the Grants Coordinator of their intent to apply with brief synopsis of project by December 1, 2024, 4 PM.
