Creative Writing and Threshold Concepts: Texts Get Their Meaning from Other Texts
July 11 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Creative Writing and Threshold Concepts: Texts Get Their Meaning from Other Texts. Part 2, session 1 of a free two-week art and theory voyage exploring creative writing with author Luke Daly.
Are you interested in seeing what is possible for you with creative writing? The Warsaw Public Library and published author Luke Daly invite you to join them on a two-week art and theory voyage exploring that very question, with four half-day sessions, ongoing artistic collaboration via social media, and a public reading party to celebrate what participants have found along the way. This workshop will be unlike other writing classes and workshops in some special ways.
One way this workshop is different than most is that the instructor is working to weave together traditions from the creative writing community with writing and language theory. The result is that you can have fresh new experiences AND fresh new understandings of writing which support each other.
A second way that this workshop is unusual is that participants will use social media tools to play-art together between in-person sessions. If you are not on social media, there will be a way for everyone to be involved!
Come to one class or come to all. Register below (appreciated but not required).
Monday & Tuesday, July 8th and 9th, 4-7 PM
Thursday & Friday, July 11th & 12th, 1-5 PM
Friday, July 19th, 5-7 PM Public Celebration & Reading
