Local Color - ACWC member artists (high school age and older) are invited to submit one piece of two or three dimensional art for the annual members’ exhibition, Local Color. Artwork should be dropped off at the ACWC Gallery at 31 S. Main St. in Perry before December 20 or on January 2 & 3 during regular gallery hours. All submissions must be properly prepared for display. Two dimensional works must be framed and wired in the back. A typed artist’s statement and/or brief bio, title, media, and price of work must be submitted at the time work is dropped off OR preferably emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please be aware that there is a 20% commission to the ACWC from art sales. Artists are encouraged to send a digital image of the work that will be exhibited to be considered for publicity materials. Artists may also wish to include in their bio or artist’s statements a reflection on the 2015 theme, "Picture This."
Participating artists will have an opportunity to receive any of the following awards which will be presented by the ACWC at the closing reception on February 27:
• Best of Show with specific focus on the 2015 theme: "Picture This."

• ACWC President’s Choice
ART in Embassies Program - Established by the United States Department of State in 1964, the ART In Embassies Program is a global museum that exhibits original works of art by U.S. citizens in the public rooms of approximately 180 American diplomatic residences worldwide. Be an Artist-in-Residence at the National Park Service - There are programs for visual artists, writers, musicians and other creative media. Programs vary, but residencies are typically 2-4 weeks in length and most include lodging. Often artists are invited to participate in park programs by sharing their art with the public. Hallwalls reviews proposals on an ongoing basis. All proposals are reviewed for possible inclusion in solo exhibitions, group exhibitions, and residencies.
